Following Miss Bea’s unexpected death, a young couple buys the home. Their newborn son faces numerous health concerns, including a chronic and potentially fatal allergy to sunlight. Darius spends the greater portion of his young life confined to a basement playroom, while his disinterested parents lead their own lives, leaving Darius to create his own little world of adventure.
