Amina, a hardworking yet unconfident woman, has spent her life dedicated to doing the things she’s supposed to do. While others her age were doing things young people do, she was toiling away in college and now focuses solely on work. Through a random act of kindness, she meets Kezia, a homeless woman in the city of Boston. After a few encounters with the transient woman, Amina finds herself questioning her own life. However, the question remains, is Kezia a real human doomed to wander the Earth in poverty, or is she something more that can’t be explained? It is soon revealed to Amina that Kezia is not what she seems. By the hand of Kezia, Amina is introduced to Catori, a woman that will cause her to contemplate her own mortality and what she really wants and needs from her Earthly life. In the end, Amina is left to choose. Live as she always has, or take her life into her own hands? Beth Collins is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Middle Grades Education. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Education. Beth is a Kentucky native, and has a daughter named Lily. She is a self-proclaimed nerd, and enjoys all the weird things.
