"In 2013, inspired by spending my life with my fabulous illustrator husband, Samson Pollen, I wanted to learn how to paint. So I began attending art class where I tried to use watercolor. I soon lost interest in painting forms and flowers from books and from life. I improvised with magic markers, moving on to gel pens. Immediately I got hooked and started to finish complete artwork day by day, week by week, month by month and for years thereafter. It brings me so much joy to touch that pad with my pens and create my own little fantasy drawings. This collection is dedicated to Sam."
