The Cabana Murders: A Sergeant Cass Hasty Detective Story

A Sergeant Cass Hasty Detective Story It was simple. Sergeant Cass Hasty and his partner Barney Stauffer were supposed to go to Sand Head Island to pick up a low level criminal by the name of Tootie McNiff. But when they get there, McNiff has escaped and they find themselves embroiled in the investigation of two tourists blown apart at a beach barbecue. The island has plenty of characters, most of whom are suspects, including a dancer with matrimony on her mind and a violent maniac with a habit of wandering away from the sanitarium as well as an assortment of rich drunks. Hasty’s efforts to solve the crime before too many bodies pile up are complicated by the arrival of four Feds more interested in publicity than justice, and not only must he find the murderer, he must determine what the murder weapon was before he can solve the Cabana Murders.
