The Desolate Trail

The small New Hampshire Border Company ranged the frontier in Colonial America from the Merrimack River to the mighty Ohio River, defending settlers in isolated log cabins. The French and the English were vying for a continent. Both nations supplemented their military power by urging the fearless Abenaki Warriors to new levels of violence against their mutual enemies. The small band of New Hampshire militia were about the only available force attempting to counter the reign of terror perpetrated by the French and their native allies. Once the French had been defeated, the struggle continued just as viciously against the colonists’ mother country until a new nation, under God, was formed, and peace prevailed across the frontier.
