Hidden: A Mei-hua Adventure

Mei-hua’s world is turned upside-down when her father is accused of disloyalty to the new Ming Dynasty Emperor. If he’s found guilty, he and his entire family will be executed. To protect Mei-hua, his only daughter, he sends her away disguised as a mute peasant. Before reaching safety, however, she is kidnapped and sold to a wealthy family. Mei-hua-the privileged daughter of a magistrate-now finds herself a lowly bond servant. She must hide her real identity at all costs to avoid triggering the destruction of everyone she loves. Her only hope is to run away, but her plan is interrupted and her secret exposed when gangsters attack her owner’s daughter. Can Mei-hua escape before her identity is discovered?
