A Big Adventure for Smokee the Cat

I would like to thank my grand kitty, Smokee, for inspiring this story! He is a gray, skinny, cranky 14 year old guy, who loves to attach himself to anyone’s lap and stay there as long as possible! However, in his younger days, he would hang out by one of three doors in the house (kitchen door into the garage, sliding glass door to the backyard, and front screen door to the front yard) ever hopeful of escaping to the outside for an adventure. Now that he has two step-brother cats, he’s not as intent on sneaking out, since he has other entertainment inside the house. But he has escaped in the past, always to be found, and this is perhaps an adventure he experienced at one time!
