Outlandish Scotland Journey is designed to guide Outlanderites to a variety of real-world places in Scotland: * Locations mentioned in Diana Gabaldon’s first three novels (Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, and Voyager). * Scottish sites that inspired–or resemble–Diana’s grandly-evocative, fictional location descriptions. * Scottish film sites seen on screen in the STARZ network Outlander TV series. * Places where significant events occurred during the 1745 Jacobite rebellion–sometimes earlier Jacobite-related events.
The full book includes Seven Parts, covering 65 sites, one of which is in Northwestern England. Part One: Film Sites between Edinburgh and Inverness. Part Two: Inverness, nearby sites (including Culloden), and Loch Ness. Part Three: The Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis and the Scottish West Highlands. Part Four: Outlandish places and film sites near the City of Stirling, and between Stirling and Edinburgh. Part Five: The Edinburgh area Outlandish places and film sites. Part Six: Three Aberdeenshire locations of interest. Part Seven: Outlandish places and film sites in Glasgow, Southwestern Scotland, and an area of Northwestern England.

There are very clear directions explaining how to get to each location, and the guides are very clear about what you will find in each place, with lots of details to help you make the most of your holiday. One thing I especially liked was the thistle icons that rated each location … so I could see at-a-glance how many sites to spend time visiting. –DelightAndInspire.com
