From the Green River to the Lily of the Valley is the harrowing life story of Susie Manns, a young girl that suffered horrific trauma, torment, and abuse as a child, which forced her into a life of darkness in the streets. Susie faced a life of addiction to alcohol, drugs, gambling, compulsive overeating, and a life of prostitution and sex trafficking. Little did she know that she would end up in the snares of Gary Ridgway, the Green River Killer, an American serial killer who confessed to murdering 49 prostitutes in Washington state in the 1980s and 90s, including two of her friends who were prostitutes, as well. Susie's story is a real and raw look into the darkness and destruction that many in today's society face not only on the streets of America, but all over the world. She shares a heartfelt plea to not judge or condemn those that have found themselves caught up in the web of 'street life, ' as at any moment, it can touch any one of us. Susie and her husband, Toney, also a former addict, have made it their life's assignment to reach back and help those struggling with addiction and prostitution in the very streets they were delivered from, offering food, shelter, and support in the Pacific Northwest through their non-profit organization.
