A man invents a time travel machine in 2025. He turns it on and lets people wander through it to see what their reactions will be. In 1863 a Confederate spy travels to Laurelton, SC with his sister. He is captured by the Union soldiers who have taken over the town and his sister is left stranded, friendless in a strange town. In 2025, the FBI hear of the time machine, and Thomas and Susanna Jackson, with the help of their friend Raymond, must keep them from finding it.
