P.E.O. slipped quietly into Nebraska as early as 1874. In the 141 years this writing encompasses, P.E.O. expanded throughout Nebraska, the U.S., and Canada. Today over 10,000 Nebraska women share this sisterhood with nearly a quarter of a million women worldwide. P.E.O. is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women, educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College, and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
