Delicious Nutritious Every Child’s Friend is a coloring book that introduces healthy snack options to children through the suggestions of a sunflower named Delicious Nutritious. The pre-school and school aged children in the drawings are featured in various settings from sports to visual art to music. The illustrations are line drawings in a sketch style that is contemporary as well as expressive. The last two pages are blank but ask the child to draw pictures of snacks and Delicious Nutritious promoting creativity and self-expression. A list of healthy snacks and a recipe for nut free granola bars is also included. A portion of proceeds of the sale of this book benefits Children’s of Alabama Emergency Department, Birmingham, AL.
