Carmody, renowned as a defensive wizard known to many as ‘Big Nasty, ’ was part of many of the most monumental football victories in Mississippi history. But he was also innovative, knew how to squeeze the absolute maximum out of each player, and was well-versed on just about any topic you wanted to discuss. His stamp on Mississippi athletics is undeniable.
