Nine years ago, Galactic Virus 442-C devastated Volitar, and every nearby planet, wiping out nearly all of their women of child-bearing age. After recovering from their grief, Prince Vaxeehl and his brothers began traveling the universe, searching for brides willing to uproot their lives and travel to their home planet to mate. They've had very little success thus far, but this new planet Vaxeehl has found shows promise. Seven years ago, an asteroid hit outside Mount Victory, Kentucky, carrying with it a new virus, Influenza B15, that has circled the Earth, mutating faster than any other ailment in history. It now kills within 24-48 hours. Keira Sutton lost everyone she cared about to the virus and has been left alone. She has wandered the U.S., trying to find some place that feels like home.
