In the summer of 2004, I moved from the Gulf Coast of Florida to the Willamette Valley of Oregon. My traveling companion on this cross-country trip was a small stuffed gorilla named Eljo. The trip was the start of a new life, but the continuation of a journey begun years earlier, a journey both physical and spiritual.
