Songs for the Irish Road: A Musical Traveling Companion to a Journey Across Ireland

What makes Songs for the Irish Road unique and not just another collection of traditional Irish songs? It is a musical travelogue of a journey across Ireland. Our concept was to make our first tour of the Emerald Isle come alive with songs and ballads about the very places we were visiting, the characters who lived there, and the historical events that left their mark on the Irish landscape and psyche. With that in mind we selected our songs and organized the book geographically according to the sites, monuments, villages or bodies of water we saw during our 2013 and 2015 Ireland tours as the Rogues & Wenches.
