Double Going: Poems

In Double Going, Richard Foerster’s tightly chiseled poems are rife with a doubling of images and motifs that reappear like musical phrases sounding in different contexts. The title speaks to the dual nature of love and anger that a son feels towards his father.

Richard Foerster is the author of three previous poetry collections, Sudden Harbor and Patterns of Decent (Orchises Press) and Trillium (BOA), which received Honorable Mention for the 2000 Poets’ Prize. He is the editor of the literary magazine Chelsea. He lives in York Beach, Maine.
