Kim Dorland is a rising star of the North American art world whose paintings, with their thick neon-tinged impasto, have been characterised as Tom Thomson on acid. Named Globe Arts Artist of the Year in 2013 , Dorland has had shows in Milan, New York, Los Angeles and across his native Canada, and his work is entering major public collections, including Musee des beaux-arts de Montreal and the Sander Collection in Berlin.
