End of the Line

After the death of her father, fourteen-year-old Eri Yoshikawa and her mother, Natsuki, try to outdistance despair by moving from their memory-laden apartment in Osaka to a tiny village in a faraway valley, where Natsuki has gained a job teaching. Here, culture-shocked Eri starts her new life and learns that there are many ways the heart can break and be healed.
