Adventures in Earth and Environmental Science Book 1. This is the first book of two which looks at the earth its matter energy, life, relationships and how these interact as a whole. The Earth is seen as a closed system containing the Earth’s materials and living things whilst allowing the necessary flow of energy in and out of the planet. The atmosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere, and hydrosphere of the Earth are examined in detail in this book lavishly illustrated with over 650 photographs and diagrams. There are also several links to practical skill demonstrations and videos made by the author during his own adventures studying the Earth. Each chapter is concluded with a summary, practical tips, ten multi choice questions, as well as ten longer review and discussion questions.

This book is supplemented by Book 2 for grade 12, a student’s practical book that covers the two years as well as a teachers'guide that gives practical guidance, answers to the questions, and how it fits the sylabus. There is also combined 11 and 12 book.
