While struggling to fit in at school, Amy becomes increasingly obsessed with the Virtual Reality game, Erinland. As the VR characters begin to invade her dreams and waking moments, she finds herself propelled into 9th Century Ireland. Amy becomes part of this mystical world as she joins in the struggle to defeat the Viking Raiders. Seventeen year old Richard has a complicated home life and feels he doesn’t belong. A series of events finds him desperate and living on the streets of Sydney. After being brutally bashed, he is drawn into 9th Century Norway through the power of a talisman given to him by his mother. Richard then joins the Viking raiders on a colonisation raid to Ireland
