Translated by Wurundjeri Woi wurrung Elder, Aunty Gail Smith, Yingora Yingora Wayibu Durt: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is a part of a series of classic children's books that translates well-loved nursery rhymes into the ancient Woi wurrung language of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people-a group indigenous to what is also known as the Yarra River Valley region. This book is an adaptation of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, the classic English lullaby deriving from early-19th century author Jane Taylor in her collection of poems, Rhymes for the Nursery, in 1806.
