This story of the life of a Hungarian girl from Transylvania begins when her mother's family loses everything in WW1. Then, during and after the turbulent years of WW2 and the Holocaust, the author and her parents avoid death many times due to improbable events - often with split-second timing - and some honourable and very courageous people including Lt. Gen. Odon Domanitzky and Rezso Kasztner. After spending some years in Sweden, the family migrates to Australia where tha author persues a long and worthwhile career and an interesting retirement.
