About the Author

Marita has a no fluff approach to life and enjoys meeting and listening to people's stories and finding the connections in them. Living on the family farm for 40 years she has a deep appreciation for the land and all of nature.

Marita has had a busy life. With a background that includes being a Mother to 3 sons and a Grandmother to their children; a Librarian; a Teacher; an avid World Traveller; a Family Historian; and an Entrepreneur.

Marita hopes her grandchildren will grow up knowing and loving their rural colloquialisms, as she has. This is her first Children's book.

About the Illustrator

Working as an early childhood educator in her hometown of Yarram, Christina has a real love for children's books. She lives on a farm in Tarra Valley with her partner, 2 teenage children and various animals. Therefore when asked to do the illustrations for a book about farming, she jumped at the chance. This is her first foray into illustrating a book and she has enjoyed working on it immensely.
