Doreen

Doreen, the third C.J. Dennis publication using his Sentimental Bloke characters, was first published by in October 1917 by Angus and Robertson.

The four tales in verse in Doreen describe the married life of the Bloke , dramatising his communication and his conflicts with his little wife , illustrating their differences in the raising of young Bill , but ultimately emphasising their domestic happiness.
