A girl has been murdered in the castle, and the Lord of Hambrig is under arrest. To clear his name he must find the killer, but instead he chooses to help his brother, a mercenary soldier who's in deep trouble...

It's AD 1264. The English barons are in rebellion, led by Simon de Montfort. Lord Rory's younger brother has joined in the fight against King Henry III - but he has made dangerous enemies.
