Musician, artist and historian Anne-Karoline Distel takes us on a tour of some of her favourite historical sites. Get inspired by her tunes and drawings to discover Ireland’s monumental treasures, mostly off the beaten track.

Anne-Karoline Distel came to Ireland from Germany in 2016 following the call of music. She is a classically trained violinist who embraced the new challenge of Irish traditional music and delved right into it. She has a passion for Irish history and has worked as a tour guide.

Her interest in Ireland’s fauna was expressed by her 2018 publication 100 Birds of Ireland in Watercolour.
