Transient hyponotes is a new collection of recent poems from Scots poet Jamie Inglis. The notes are drawn from the world around us and the people we meet. The places we go and the things we see. With some notes from The Somme and more New Neologisms. 'Rich in ideas, images and insight'. poetry-index. Jamie Inglis is a poet and doctor from Edinburgh. His poems are about people and journeys. About who we are and the changing world we live in. Poems about the unexpected and the unexplained and about wars fought in our name. Poems of new words embedded in the internet. As a doctor he worked and published on a range of public health issues including HIV, cancer, immunisation, tobacco, drugs and obesity. He had his first poems published aged ten and after qualifying in medicine returned to writing poetry in the early 1980's. The poems reflect his interests in people, travel, politics, science-fiction, pacifism, the world we live in and the world we are creating.
