When the body of top-line model Mornia Garish was found in her Greenwich Village apartment, she became the fifth such victim in two years. The women had struggled desperately, only to have succumbed to manual strangulation by someone exerting tremendous strength. The police believed the crimes were the work of the same man - a maniac. Then another sinister underlying pattern emerged: they had all recently posed nude for portraits by the talented artist Gilbert Reeves. Determined to escape from her poor background - including a brutal father and working in a sweatshop - the beautiful Rebecca Kay takes all manner of risks to become a top-line model.
