Tucker by Bob Gormley
Tucker is a young boy who lives in a beautiful, magical room behind the giant clock face on the magnificent Liver Building on Liverpool's majestic waterfront.
Each night as the light fades, he can be seen looking out between the numbers 5 and 6. Tucker and the birds watch over the city and the river. When the light are gone, the giant statues of two beautiful birds stretch their wings and come alive.
At night, Tucker rides these birds over the river and the city looking out for anything that's not quite right. He spots a young lost boy, Tom, who has run away from home to make it easier for his mother look after his younger sisters and brothers. Their father went missing at sea some months ago. Tucker flies with Tom on the birds and finds his father shipwrecked on an island far out to sea and brings the family back together.
