At 4 years old in 1948 I caught polio, this meant I was away from home in various different hospitals throughout my childhood, leaving school at almost 17 years old, straight into work, eventually meeting my wife and marrying her in 1966. We have 2 wonderful sons.
My life changed when I was made redundant and could not find work until I decided to employ myself by running a mini cab service which was successful for almost 15 years until I took early retirement.
Now, using a mobility scooter, the idea came to me for a trip round the UK with a scooter to raise money for a charity which became the RNLI.
