AGES: 5 to 9 AUTHORS: Jonathan Emmett has written over 60 books for children including Bringing Down the Moon, Someone Bigger and The Princess and the Pig. He developed his skills as a writer and illustrator while studying and working as an architect, but left architecture to become a children's author in 1995. His work has been translated into over 30 different languages and has won several awards both in the UK and abroad, including the FCBG Red House Children's Book Award for Pigs Might Fly and the STEAM Children's Book Prize for How the Borks Became: An Adventure in Evolution. Nottingham-based palaeontologist Dr Adam S. Smith has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed research papers and named several new Jurassic species. He teamed up with Jonathan Emmett in 2021 to write The Plesiosaur's Neck, Adam's debut children's book. Adam works as a part-time curator at the Nottingham Natural History Museum (Wollaton Hall) where he is co-responsible for the museum's collections and exhibitions.
