Although Harry is now 75 years old, sex is still a very important part of his life. A successful businessman in an unnamed South American country ,Harry has, for eight years now, had a Colombian mistress 48 years younger than himself (see book one of this trilogy, Violeta, published by i2i in September 2021). Harry counts each time he has sex with Violeta (now in the 800’s). Every time she is rewarded with money to spend on jewellry and watches by Tiffany, Cartier or Gasson. She already has a very impressive collection. Apart from this, he buys her beautiful clothes ,handbags and shoes in Louis Vuitton, Prada or Chanel as well as sexy underwear in Agent Provocateur and erotic uniforms in sex boutiques. They travel a great deal .He has taken her to 32 countries so far, where they fly by private helicopter, stay at the best hotels, and and eat at the most expensive restaurants. The champagne is Krug, the wines Corton Charlemagne, Aloxe-Corton or Montrachet .
But throughout the book there is the central issue of Harry’s need to have sex ,to keep him young and virile. There are occasional quite graphic descriptions of love making. These, however, are erotic without being overly pornographic or offensive .This is the genre of the classic erotic romance, if perhaps veering a little towards the Marquis de Sade. At times incredibly moving, Harry and Violeta’s relationship is also tortuous and stormy. The frequent fights and ‘the games that lovers play’, as Harry calls them will resonate with many readers. Harry describes Violeta as ‘almost bipolar ’ as he struggles to keep up with her mood changes from hatred to lascivious, passionate love. Despite their 48-year age difference, Harry and Violeta have in many respects become an old married couple. In the end their initial commercial relationship becomes very much second to genuine love.
