Pamela. "You're Gideon Bach! Aren't you?" I shouted as I bounded over the lecture hall to close the distance between us. "I'm Pamela," I pointed to my chest, nearly jumping with excitement. "Remember? Pamela Fraser? We used to live right next door to each other." The entire auditorium had suddenly gone deadly quiet as everyone gave their attention to me and Professor Bach. He looked at me, his expression neutral and void of emotion. Then his next words hit me like a truck. "I'm sorry, but I don't know you, Miss Fraser?" he said, his voice cold as ice, before he walked away with another student.

I stared at him open-mouthed. What? He didn't remember me? How was that even possible? A standalone teacher/student romance.
