CEO Grump: An Office Romance

AVA It was just like any other day at the office, a little work, a pinch of gossip and then bam! Poor old Mr. Miller collapses unconscious at his desk sending everyone into panic mode as he is rushed by the paramedics to hospital. That is when the billionaire’s son Max arrives to take his place as the new CEO of the company. Three years working for Mr. Miller and I’d never once seen his son and heir. Oh, I’d heard he existed, but he’d never shown up at the office. Ever.

The 6ft plus impossibly handsome Adonis glows with health and looks so dang good, I mistake him for Mr. Miller’s new personal trainer.

I’m afraid I was horribly rude to him, but in my defence, I was stressed by Mr. Miller’s sudden illness, and the man did deserve it. Instead of introducing himself properly, he just arrogantly strode into Mr. Miller’s office as if he owned the darn place.

What was I supposed to do?

Now Mr grump wants me to follow his rules when it’s clear he’s obviously out of his depth.

What I want is for Max Miller to stop scowling around the office and loosen up a bit.

He needs to learn the ropes quickly, without stressing everyone.

And I need to stop my heart racing every time I step into his office.

That, though, might just be the hardest part of my job… A full length standalone office romance.
