Nigeria's Foreign Policy Since 1999 discusses the dynamics of Nigeria's foreign policy since the beginning of the country's Fourth Republic in 1999. Major themes explored in the book include Afrocentrism and pan-Africanism in Nigeria's foreign policy, the country's role in such multilateral institutions as African Union, the Economic Community of West African States, and the Gulf of Guinea Commission. It equally discusses Nigeria's relations with the major powers such as the United Kingdom (UK), the United States of America, the People's Republic of China, France, and Russia. The book will be of special interest to students and practitioners of African History, International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies and related disciplines. ___________________________ George Awele Nwalie obtained his BSC, M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University, Russia, (also known as RUDN University). He currently teaches at the Department of Theory and History of International Relations at the same University. Yao Nikez Adu holds a PhD in Law and is currently an Associate professor at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, (also known as RUDN University).
