Eat your Weeds!: with 90 delicious plant-based recipes

Julie Bruton-Seal,Matthew Seal

Why should we eat our weeds? Because they are delicious, they’re nutritious and too good to waste. And they’re free. This is more than just a recipe book, more than a foraging book. Julie Bruton-Seal, professional herbalist and, with Matthew Seal, a best-selling author have both shared their epertise in Eat Your Weeds! to give us the fascinating background to these overlooked wild plants, their historic use, the medicinal benefits today and their culinary delights. Weeds are amazing beings that we have failed to see and failed to eat. But with these 90 delicious plant-based recipes, that is about to end.
AUTHORS: Julie Bruton-Seal is a practising naturopathic herbalist, cranio-sacral therapist and iridologist. A fellow of the Association of Master Herbalists, she served on the AMH council and edited its magazine for many years. A former council member of the Herbal History Research Network, she is also a member of the Association of Foragers. She is a jeweller, photographer, artist, writer and a graphic designer. Matthew Seal grew up in a family of gardeners and botanists and, while not following his kinfolk into professional gardening or horticulture, he has never forgotten this early ‘greening’. He is the co-author of Hedgerow Medicine, Wayside Medicine, Kitchen Medicine, The Herbalist’s Bible and Make Your Own Aphrodisiacs.
