The Corridor of Light

A thirteen-year-old young inventor, Harry Scrambles, and his trickster sister Lou (15) hurtle through a stone age time portal in Harry's turbo-charged farm car, travelling from 1979 to 2079 in the hope of recovering a stolen ruby and finding their missing, presumed dead, grandpa. Instead, they discover a future perfect world about to crash into a nightmare state of carnage after scientists genetically modify a species of giant wasp, kept for pest control in secure crop-growing compounds. Harry is sure the monstrous stingers have learned to escape and threaten to colonise the planet, but he must catch a specimen to convince sceptical scientists.

As the siblings battle to eradicate the monstrous species, armed only with natural weapons, and simultaneously search for their long-lost grandpa, they are drawn into a crazy Victorian horse race, where they find themselves trapped in time.

They must save the future world from a doomsday scenario at the hands of the giant predatory Deathmongers, but to do so, Harry must reactivate the time portal. If he fails, the siblings will never see home again, either... And what of their Grandpa?
