Robert Simpson is a Presbyterian minister now resident in New Zealand's Christchurch. Robert has worked in bookselling and publishing, and in insurance, as well as serving in the ecumenical church in Australia, Papua New Guinea, England, New Zealand. He is a graduate of the Bible College of New Zealand and, twenty years later, of the United Theological College in Sydney, Australia. In 1969, he went to Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea as a literature missionary. There he met and married his English wife Margaret, an excellent nurse and midwife. Some years later Robert retired due to ill health. Following a bout of deep clinical depression and electro-convulsive therapy (ECT), he had a severe stroke, after which he had to learn to talk, walk and write again. This took a long, long time, but, gradually, he has now authored several devotional books and novels. This is his story of faith, dedication, recovery, and freedom!
