In 2004 Reverend Barbara gave up a high-flying, international business career to become a parish priest. The book tells the story of her faith, her determination against the odds to be ordained, and the day-to-day details of her continuing ministry. Her combined parish contains two churches, serving around 17,000 parishioners. Some of her duties were certainly not what she expected when she took up her post! Alongside her, at all times, she has her trade-mark guide dog puppy. She is presently on her 13th dog - one in a long line of black Labradors. Her dream, through all her work has been, and still is, to change the lives of others for the better.
