An old church on the Isle of Man had lain derelict for many centuries, when it was decided by the church authorities to put a new roof on it.
All attempts failed and the superstitious villagers were convinced it was the work of an evil spirit called a Buggane.
A brave tailor named Timothy made a wager with the locals that he could stay in the church all night and make a pair of trousers at the same time.
