From the Battle of Omdurman and throughout the First World War, Mynors Farmar took part in many of the major battles that dominated 1898 1918. His experience as both fighting soldier and staff officer are recounted in moving letters to his beloved wife Violet and their children. They not only show the strength of an individual’s spirit and capability but also the importance of the relationships formed over the years. These letters show how tirelessly the staff worked to provide for the men under their care.
