To cover up for their lateness they tell their form teacher a lie about getting a puncture in a bike tyre, but they get carried away with their own storytelling. Even their teacher gets into trouble, and she has nothing to do with the lie itself. When the police turn up at school investigating a robbery, Billy and Ant’s lie is uncovered. The outcome is that Billy and Ant’s teachers and parents are very disappointed in the boys for lying and getting into trouble.
