Having been born and raised as a Christian, and in my adult life converting and marrying my ex-husband of whom is a Muslim. I had the privilege of learning the fundamental teachings, practices and experiences of both worlds. This gave me the exposure to a variety of cultures beyond my imagination. Some of it was great and some painful, as I later found that discrimination and prejudice, are still rife amongst us, even as we purport to live in a society that has progressed beyond such an era. It’s with such a background that I was propelled to share my experience with the world, as I found that a lot of the discrimination that I faced during my marriage, was not out of hatred but out of fear, because of lack of knowledge. I hope that by imparting of these experiences, I can help to bridge a gap between two faiths that are at odds with each other.
