Welcome back to Hopeless, Maine, a haunted island lost in time and cut off from the rest of the world. While you were away, things have gone from a bit gloomy and dangerous to downright tense. There has been some sort of power struggle between factions of the underground population of the island (by which, I of course mean vampires). The hard-won pact between the above and below ground citizens has been broken, and the orphan problem now includes tiny homeless undead children with unusual appetites. There are cloaked figures who are clearly up to no good and people coming back from the dead. This is an unusual turn of events even for Hopeless, Maine. As always, Owen and Salamandra do their best to keep the living population alive and the undead population from growing. It is now clear that in order to do this, they must begin to understand the larger problem of the island and the Fog that keeps it hidden. 'In Hopeless, Maine the realms of dream and folklore meet, and tales take on a life of their own with every re-telling. There the Spoonwalkers and the Teaselheads and Gnii roam. Lose yourself in the gorgeous, Gothic world created by Tom and Nimue Brown.' - John Reppion
