Ellie’s Golden Fables are a remarkable and imaginative account of the past, present and future of the universe according to the author’s inner voice. We follow her spiritual journey and struggle with illness and arthritis, her negative reaction to medication and her discovery of self-healing. A sequence of thirty stories, each fable is built around a different animal, conveying that animal’s spiritual character and place in the scheme of creation. The fables have been written at this specific point in time to assist those destined to transform or heal themselves by consciously creating change in the physical body by the spirit within. Each chapter follows the pattern set by the opening piece and each is a neatly, evocatively and vividly composed piece of narrative exposition and elegant signification. The core purpose of the collection is what the author calls ‘healing by the self’ by accessing and harnessing the inner spiritual ‘creative energy’ that is said to reside in living things.
