Charles Geddes was born in Banffshire, Scotland, into a fishing family. Abandoned while young, he experienced deep poverty. As a teenager, Charles devoted his time to boxing and playing in a dance band. Feeling there was something missing, he began searching for the true purpose and meaning of life. As a mature student, Charles gained a B.Ed. degree in Religious Education, English and History. For six years he taught Religious Education in Buckie High School. His personal experience of the occult helped him to speak with authority to young people about its subtle dangers. Charles, and his wife Grace, went on to serve God in the West Indies, sharing the message of the gospel with others on the streets and in prison, finding that the love of God is real and the promises of God are true. In days of uncertainty and unrest, with many dashed hopes and defeated lives, this riveting book assures us that God is still reaching out his offer of mercy and grace to a lost world and transforming many lives.
