The modern day Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway was borne out of the railway network which previously served the giant Bowater’s paper mills, just to the north of the Kent town of Sittingbourne. The heritage line uses track, locomotives and other equipment from its industrial past as it takes the traveller on a journey from suburban Sittingbourne out into the Kent marshes.
