Digital Image Processing: Mathematical and Computational Methods

This work delivers an account of the theory and mathematical methods, algorithms and applications of imaging systems and the digital techniques for processing the data provided by these systems. Written for advanced undergraduates and postgraduates reading computer sciences, electronics, physics and applied mathematics, it can also be used as a reference source for professional researchers in the industrial and academic sectors. The text includes a CD-ROM which provides a small object library of image processing objects written in C/C++ and a prototype Graphical User Interface. This allows readers to test out some of the image processing algorithms discussed in the text and build an image processing system from stratch, tailored to suit their own interest and research portfolio.
