Stem Club Set: Magnetism

ScienceWiz® Magnetism STEM Club Edition includes a project book, a workbook and materials, PLUS an achievement badge they can earn and download and print onto a sticker. Color coded magnets are a included. With this color coding, young children can discover for themselves how magnets attract and repel. The Magnetism kit includes a highly visual, full color, step-by-step, 40 page science book, multiple magnets, a compass and iron filings. The 32 page workbook includes additional activities and challenges. Children earn an achievement badge by decoding the secret password embedded within the workbook activities.

Figuring out that magnetic force works through materials including cardboards, water, wood and even the entire Earth. Making a temporary magnet from a permanent magnet.

Finally, they make an electromagnet, learn how to turn it on and off, and how to flip its poles. With this knowledge, they are on their way to understanding how electric motors work.
